From board files to prototypes and pilot builds.
For prototype boards and pilot builds, we combine PCB fabrication, component sourcing and assembly according to your manufacturing files. Submit Gerber and drill files, a BOM, pick-and-place data and the required quantity. We review design for manufacturability (DFM), material availability and agreed test requirements before confirming the build schedule.
What’s included
- Prototype and small-batch builds
- PCB, component sourcing and assembly
- DFM and BOM review before the build
- Inspection and testing to the agreed scope
Supply challenges.
Practical solutions.
What buyers typically face, and how we handle it.
Common pain points
- Minimum order quantities too high for samples
- Waiting on one missing part to start a prototype
- Coordinating board, parts and assembly suppliers separately
- Design issues found only after the first build
How we solve it
- Small-quantity sourcing for every BOM line
- One order covering parts, PCB and assembly
- Design-for-manufacture and BOM checks before the build
- The same team takes the project into pilot and volume
A clear, coordinated process.
One specialist owns your request from first message to delivery.
Submit files
Gerber and drill files, BOM, pick-and-place data and quantity.
Review
Check manufacturability, BOM availability and assembly requirements.
Prepare materials
Procure agreed components and arrange PCB fabrication.
Assemble
Complete surface-mount and through-hole assembly as required.
Verify & deliver
Perform agreed inspections and tests; deliver boards and records.
Define what the prototype must demonstrate
State whether you need bare boards, assembled samples or a pilot build, and which functions need verification. Provide controlled Gerber/drill data, BOM, placement data, quantity and relevant assembly/test instructions. Identify firmware, fixtures and any customer-supplied materials needed for the agreed tests.
Close build questions before assembly
Review file revisions, DNP positions, component orientation, material availability and DFM questions. Record any alternative parts or build deviations for approval. Confirm one-time tooling or fixture costs, material allowances and first-article approval requirements in the quotation.
Separate assembly checks from design debugging
Agree the visual, electrical and functional checks and the limits of any power-on or bring-up work. Tests use the specified firmware, method and acceptance limits. A design issue found during a prototype build may require separately agreed analysis, redesign and another revision.
Deliver revision-linked prototype records
The handover can include boards identified by revision, inspection/test records, approved deviations and a list of unresolved items. Confirm which files are released for the next build. Moving from a prototype to pilot or volume production requires review of remaining validation, material and process requirements.
Service benefits
for procurement teams.
Coordinated preparation
Coordinate component procurement with PCB fabrication.
Defined build quantity
Confirm quantity and delivery milestones in the quotation.
Issues identified before assembly
Raise file, BOM and manufacturability questions for confirmation.
Support for the next build
Use prototype findings to plan revisions or a pilot build.

Frequently asked questions.
Prototype and small-batch enquiries are welcome. Quantity, feasibility and lead time are confirmed after the files and component availability are reviewed.
For PCB fabrication, send Gerber and drill files plus board specifications. For assembly, also send a BOM, pick-and-place data and any assembly drawings or test instructions.
Timing depends on board specifications, component availability, quantity and test requirements. The quotation confirms the project schedule.
Yes. Component sourcing and kitted delivery can be quoted without PCB fabrication or assembly.
